You know that virtually everyone worries about how their smile looks. Similarly, you probably know that there are a few things you’ll need to do if you want to keep your smile bright. For example, you know that you should brush and floss your teeth every day. However, did you know that there are also certain foods you should avoid?
Sadly, drinking too many sweet drinks can actually hurt your teeth and damage your enamel. Specifically, sodas can cause a number of serious issues because they are high in sugar. This sugar may become acidic in your mouth and over time wear down your enamel.
Coffee can also stain your teeth, especially if you take it black. The tannins in tea can also stain your teeth, as can red wine. However, you can substitute red wines for white wines.
In other words, you may be able to keep your teeth brighter by simply avoiding these drinks. If that isn’t something you want to do, you can also drink water after any of these beverages to rinse out your mouth. On a similar note, please remember to wait at least half an hour after you drink to brush your teeth. If you don’t, you could damage your teeth.
